 Local Car Buff goes Bonkers
Neighbors were shocked today when a local resident drove his car through the plate glass window in front of the town’s biggest automobile dealership. (It’s the only car dealership in all of Motorburg County. --Ed.) It seems that Mr. Bud E. Humper, respected member and caretaker of the Thumping Vein Appleholic Church, had finally popped his cork over the shoddy workmanship he’s suffered with since he bought his new car in 1973. Although representatives of Motorburg Ford-G.M.-Chrysler-Import City couldn’t be reached for comment, Brother Humper told a passel of reporters yesterday that he had discovered yet another rust spot on his 30 year-old Chevrolet Vega. He was quick to remind those who listened that he had "run that 1927 Ford Tall T for nigh onto 46 year, afore tradin’ up for the new Vega". He claims that he wants his old car back, and requests proper compensation for his embarrassment over this latest rust bubble. |
