Online and Mail Order Security
If you choose to purchase products at our Motorburg Shopping Mall, certain personal information must be recorded in order to facilitate the completion of your order.
When you use your credit card to make a purchase, your information is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. This technology ensures that the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information is protected from outside parties when transmitted from your computer to our secure server. It’s easy to tell when you are protected by secure encryption; The URL in your browser will change to "HTTPS" instead of "HTTP". You will be asked to supply personal information such as name, billing/shipping address, telephone number and credit card number & expiration date. Motorburg does not collect your credit card information. This information is securely captured and stored off-site by financial processing institutions. We receive only the information required to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status.
When placing an order by mail, you will need to enter some of the same information required of an online purchase (minus your credit card information of course) such as; your name, mailing address, E-mail address, and telephone number (a UPS/FedEx requirement). This allows us to process and successfully ship your order and to notify you of your order status.
Without your express consent, we will not share your personal Shopping account information with any third party.
If you should ever experience fraudulent use of your credit card, notify your credit card company in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. Most companies in general, may cover all of the fraudulent purchases, but in the event they don’t; they cannot hold you liable for more than $50 in unauthorized or fraudulent charges.
Information Collected and Stored Automatically
Our Motorburg Shopping Mall uses "cookies" or an IP Address to keep track of your shopping cart and provide shopping services. The cookie simply assigns a number and does not disclose any personal information about the person using the browser. If you have "cookies" disabled (its not required to visit any area of Motorburg), your shopping session will be monitored by your computer’s IP address, which also divulges no personal information about you, other than the type of computer you’re using. By noting where these uniquely numbered browsers go while shopping on our site, we’re able to keep your shopping cart interactive and current, while studying traffic patterns and subsequently improving our product offerings. Accordingly, we do not automatically collect your personal E-mail address simply because you visited. All we know, based on this limited statistical information, is the number of times, on a given date, that the Website and certain of its Features and Products are accessed.
You should also know that we do not sell any of the statistical information that we have collected or stored. Furthermore; this impersonal data will not be provided to our associate artists, suppliers and companies unless they have signed a confidentiality agreement with Motorburg, Inc.
No future E-mail without permission
If you purchase products at the Motorburg Shopping Mall, certain personal information will be recorded in order to facilitate the completion of your order. This information will include your Email address for notification purposes. We will not use that information to contact you in the future about another product or service, unless you have provided express consent. From time to time, we may have new products, information and offers that you might find valuable. If you would like to grant us permission to send you these offers via Email, you may notify us here and we’ll add you to our "Hot List". You may "opt-out" at any time.
