Product Specifications and Care

Open Edition Prints:

• Our medium weight poster paper has a semi-matte finish that compliments and enhances the shine and reflectivity inherent in most of Motorburg's automotive art and mechanical subject matter.

• These fine prints are produced with the latest commercial print technology, utilizing 4 color process printing with industry standard inks to provide a wide range of color richness and outstanding detail. This process uses precision registration and multiple inks (black, cyan, magenta and yellow) to produce the quality poster prints demanded by the artist.

The resulting prints have superior color richness and detail. However, as with most traditionally printed posters, they are not water resistant and colorfast. Proper care to protect these prints from prolonged exposure to intense light sources and direct sunlight, as well as environmental contaminants, should help prolong their graphic qualities and clarity.

The following guidelines will help protect these posters while displaying or storing:
• Prints should only be displayed in an indoor environment for utmost print longevity.
• It is highly advised that for open display, the prints be displayed under glass or in a plastic sleeve for protection from atmospheric contaminants.
• As with most lithographic poster prints, they should be kept away from direct sunlight and strong light sources (color vibrancy will deteriorate and they will fade in these situations).
• If prints are to be stored, do so in an acid free, archival sleeve for maximum protection.
