Meet Greg Tedder
"Abandoned in an art supply store, and raised by the mechanics across the street" is how Brian's press release begins... and while it could be the real deal, the truth isn't far off.

Raised in what was, quite literally a "car crazy" home, Brian can't honestly recall a time in his life when cars didn't play some role. From early memories of his father building model cars with him at the kitchen table, to learning to drive stick by handling gear shift duties from the passenger's side ("It's odd... I think I can down-shift better than anyone using my left arm"), to restoring his first car at age 14, he's been immersed in the culture from a variety of aspects.

At an early age, Brian was earning money to feed his custom scale model passion by sweeping the floors of a local custom and collision shop, and working summers and weekends helping his father in the parts department. A close family friend shared his vast collection of "little pages", and Brian devoured the features and photos contained in these early magazines, developing a keen sense of style, history, and the builders behind the cars. "I'd build models that were sometimes clones of the early customs, and by about age ten or eleven, I began pushing the envelope, creating my own designs." Starting with concept drawings, each car was meticulously planned, often incorporating subtle details that thrilled local contest judges and attendies alike.

Always a custom car fan, Brian's interest turned for some time to all things musclecar and street machine-based. A couple of respectable street/strip warriors mixed with an occasional daily driver (loaded with as much power as possible) kept his automotive passion fueled through his late teens and early twenties.

Soon, Brian found himself studying engineering. As he completed his studies, he saw the opportunity to push his drawing and painting talents, and completed more schooling, this time concentrating on Fine Art, developing his painting and drawing skills.

Working a number of years in the automotive industry and starting a family with his lovely and supportive wife Michelle, and three boys, Matthew, Christian and Daniel, he began to make more time for his passion of designing hot rods and custom cars, eventually heading back to school (at night, attending four evenings per week) to learn computer animation, digital desktop publishing, and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. It wasn't long after graduating school once more that Brian opened the doors of his own design studio, Problem Child Kustoms Studio.

Presently, Brian designs cars, trucks and bikes for a variety of clients, has worked with his childhood heroes, and been published in some of the very magazine titles he read as a car-obsessed kid. Looking toward the future, Brian hopes to push his art even further, creating ground-breaking graphic and vehicle designs, as well as moving out in some new creative directions.
